Xavian’s Goal for 2015

Hi everyone. I hope everyone is enjoying their summer and summer vacation. I want to discussion with you three goals I want to achieve by the end of 2015. What goals? This is new. I know but the two goals I want to meet. 1) Complete Chapter 1 & Chapter 2 of my graphic novel. 2) Grow my social media presence by least 30%. Two goals seem reasonable to complete for the second half of 2015. Now, lets break down those goals individually

Complete Chapter 1 & Chapter 2 of the graphic novel. For my new fans, I have started coloring the pages of my graphic novel this summer. Since my class schedule in the summer is relatively light I have more free time to complete a lot of pages before school starts again in August. So far I’ve completed 20 pages of Chapter 1. I’ve excited about the progress I’ve done so far. There are about 35 pages in Chapter 1, and I have 15 pages left. I could have completed more pages but the summer classes I’m taking are very intense and have disrupted my work schedule from time to time. Chapter 2 has about 25 pages. So I have 40 pages to complete by the end of 2015. Also, I’m totally doing this project on my own. That means I’m doing all the pencil art, inking, and coloring. But I’m not complaining I enjoy doing it all. It allows me to say I’ve started to project by myself and I can complete it by myself. However, I can’t get my work out by myself that’s where social media and my fans come in.

Grow my social media presence by least 30%. I’m want to be active and engaging on social media. My dream goal is to have 1000 likes to my Facebook page, 200 (real) followers on Twitter, and 100 subscribers on YouTube by the end of 2015. You can find Xavian on  Facebook at : facebook.com/xavian | Twitter at: @xaviangubora | YouTube at: youtube.com/xaviangubora | Now to reach my goal I have to address some concerns. All three social media sites have the same problem as my blog.  That’s with interaction with my friends and sharing of my posts, videos, etc. I have fans of Xavian, that’s not the problem. The problem is they aren’t engaging a lot and I need to find a better way at getting my fans to like and share my work. Especially with Twitter, it’s the weakest of the three social media platforms. I have started to expand my fanbase to a different audience. Since i’m studying Mandarin and Japanese I’ve started interacting with people who speak those languages. My fan base is slowly increasing but it’s not where I believe it should be.

My plate for is full for the second half of 2015 but I’m looking forward to completing my goals I’ve set for myself. I will keep you all informed of how I’m doing with my goals weekly. That is a promise.
